How to Get Google Drive Direct Share Links for Profolio
Follow this 5-minute organized guide to host your profile photos, credentials, and CV on Google Drive for free.
Step 1: Open Google Drive
Open Google Drive in your web browser and sign into your main Google Account.
Step 2: Create the Master Folder (Profolio)
Click the + New button on the left sidebar ➔ Click New folder.
Folder Name:
Profolio
Step 3: Create 5 Dedicated Subfolders Inside
Open your newly created Profolio folder and create 5 distinct subfolders inside to keep your assets structured:
📁 Profile Photo
For storing avatar photos (PNG / JPEG)
📁 Foundational Certificates
For skill course completion credentials
📁 Achievement Certificates
For hackathons, awards & honors
📁 Professional Certifications
For AWS, Cloud & Industry certifications
📁 Live CV Resume
For your latest PDF or image Resume/CV
Step 4: Upload Your Files
Drag and drop your photo, CV, or certificate files into their respective subfolders inside Google Drive.
Supported formats: PDF documents, PNG, JPG, JPEG, or WEBP images.
Step 5: Change Access to "Anyone with the link" (CRITICAL)
- Right-click on the file inside Google Drive ➔ Click Share ➔ Share.
- Under General access, change setting from Restricted to Anyone with the link.
- Ensure the role dropdown on the right is set to Viewer.

Step 6: Copy Link & Paste in Profolio
Click Copy link, return to your Profolio Dashboard, and paste the URL directly into the field.
